Luanda, Angola; in July Mr Ronaldo RIBEIRO and his team from Fight Society made the very first kick boxing event in Angola’s capital, Luanda, sanctioned by ISKA AFRICA.

This event as a huge success, sold out and many official Angola personalities attend the show. A perfect organisation and good matchmaking open a row of many scheduled following Fight Society productions in Luanda. For the next event an Angola national title fight is on the scorecard.

The show starts on time with five fights between local athletes with the following results:

EDMILSON DOS SANTOS is a great Angola champion of this first K-1 Style (oriental rules ) tournament.

With this great victory and good performance a new Angola fighting star was born and in few weeks we see this great fighter in Portugal again , when he challenge top European fighters in in K-1 Style (oriental rules ) tournament.

With 40 countries represented and what appears to have been more than 2,500 competitors, the 2009 ISKA WORLD MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPIONSHIPS hosted at the 36th Annual US OPEN on July 3rd and 4th in Disney World, lived up to its’ reputation in every way! Long recognized as the worlds most presitigous tournament, this years spectacular event added divisions in sport jujitsu and submission grappling to a menu that already included more than 400 divisions in point fighting, continuous fighting, forms, weapons and team events. The ISKA World Breaking Championships continued to be a feature event for the more than 7,000 spectators amazed by the caliber of martial arts athletes and performers that took the stage.

Noriko-T (Japan) vs. Serin Murray (Heng Kuai Fighting Arts, Australia)

This was the big one a world title fight and the crowd went into raptures when the local fighter Serin Murray was introduced by the charismatic MC James White. Muray looked fit and well prepared however the Japanese fighter noriko-T was a very solidly built fighter who exuded power and determination and it looked like being a tough night for Serin. The fight opened cautiously and it quickly became obvious Serin Murray had done her homework. Noriko-T was very much a ‘walkup’ fighter who was clearly used to over powering her opponents. To counter this bulldog like approach Serin utilised the ropes to great effect and when noriko-T attempted to rush in she was met with some well timed and cleverly executed push kicks which sent her to the canvas on a number of occasions.

As the fight wore on Serin utilised her speed to confound and frustrate noriko-T who simply had no answer to a fighter who was able to deflect her power punches while inflicting punishment of her own. By the end of the fight noriko-T was a frustrated and battered opponent who had been stung by stinging jabs and powerful push kicks to which she had no answer.

The fight as deserving of a world title went to the judges and to the delight of the enthusiastic crowd Serin Murray received a unanimous points decision and emerged as the deserving holder of the Flyweight Word title, it just doesn’t get any better than that.

Lviv, Ukraine;  ISKA UKRAINE president Mr. Viktor LAZURKO  promote once again his Liv Open in September 18th / 19th.  In this tournament always the best fighter from former Soviet countries meet top class amateurs from Western European Clubs. For all deatils send mail to Mr. Lazurko

Luanda, Angola; 0ur respected new member Mr. Ronaldo RIBEIRO promote the first ISKA event ever in Angola.  Local heroes fight in Low kick and, Oriental rules and Thai Boxing. Ingolstadt, Germany;  the German European Champion Johannes WOLf defend on a special VIP  event his European title against the Nr. 5 in the Europepean ranking Nabil MAJOUBI from France.  Majoubi showed a great performance, result was TKO in 5th round .

This event sponsered by PRINZING saw also the last fight of Jens LINTOW / GER vs. the Hungarian  Top class fighter Jozsef SIKLODI. After a good fight in full contact Lintow won also in round five by  doctor decision (DOD)

Mr. Mohamed SOBIH from ISKA organise the first ISKA AFRCIA continental referee seminar and training in September 23rd – 27th.  During this weekend Mr. Sobih promote the ” International Pyramides  Open tournament ” for amateurs, men and women .
